Our Committee

Group Executive Committee

The Group Executive Committee meets on the second Monday of every month at the Den at 7 pm. All parents are welcome to attend. Come along and have your say. Find out what’s going on.

The Group Executive Committee
The Group Executive Committee is a body of lay people, parents and members of the local community, appointed by the Group Leader to provide the necessary funds to run the Group and to support the Leaders in their work. Members of the Executive Committee may also be appointed by a simple majority at a regular Committee or Annual Meeting and/ or by the District Commissioner or Nominated Commissioner.

The long-range objective of the Group Executive Committee should be the provision and maintenance of a Group Hall. Group Executive Committees must raise money only by those methods that conform with the policy of the Scout Association. The Group Executive Committee usually small in number operates under a set of rules available from Branch Headquarters.
