About Our Group

The Pimlico-Mundingburra Scout Group is part of Queensland Branch of Scouts Australia and is in the Kennedy Region. The Group resides in the tropical North Queensland City of Townsville in Queensland, Australia.
The Group consists of a Joey Mob, Cub Scout Pack, a Scout Troop, Venturer Unit and a Rover Crew.
The Pimlico Scout Group was first established in 1931 and its den was located in Gill Park, Hughes St at the southern end near the Pimlico High School. The two storey timber structure served as a meeting place for the Group for over 40 years. Pimlico Group combined with the nearby Mundingburra Group to form the Pimlico Mundingburra Scout Group.
Our park takes it’s name from Sir Arthur Fadden, a Townsville Accountant who was the Prime Minister of Australia from 29th August – 7th October 1941. National Museum of Australia fact sheet:  fadden.pdf
